evening, just a quick one. I have a 2002 audi a3 quattro sport (6) i am looking for a good brake upgrade as the standard items are poop. i have bought a whole front subframe from a 2008 golf r32 will all the items just swap over onto my a3 ie calipers disks and stuff.

Someone will prob's correct me, but no,the stud pattern the r32 will be 5x112 were as your a3 is 5x100, so discs will need tobe re-drilled, you'll also need new custom brackets for the calipers etc.

As Dani has said, 2008 Golf is a different setup to the Mk4. You biggest prob in all honesty will be the weight of the calipers and the expense of the replacement discs as they aren't cheap. They are 330 x 32 IIRC and have a 'moulded in' alloy bell so have to be replaced as a complete unit and there are no aftermarket/cheaper alternatives I currently know of so you will have to pay their prices to replace them.

If you are after big brakes on a reasonable budget then you could try a similar setup to mine.

I bought these calipers from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250455042455

They are AP Racing calipers (CP6600) that just have TVR on them rather than AP Racing. Might be an idea to give the guy a call as he still has the item on ebay but I have heard he may have sold out.

Brackets can be got from Badger 5 for £120+vat and Bill also has brake pipes and DS2500 pads to go with these calipers too.

I used a 330mm 2 piece setup which is expensive but you can save money by using 323mm Leon Cupra R discs (323 x 28mm) which you can either pick up as an OEM type replacement for around £80 or go for something fancier for more.

Paint the TVR logo black like I have for the stealth look ;P

Mk4 R32/Anni /S3/TT, all you need are the carriers as the calipers themselves are the same and the 312mm discs
