Hi folks,

Considering going for a short shifter. I want to get rifle bolt style precise shifting no slop at all in the gear change and a little shorter throw. I have previously tried tightening the bolt but this eventually loosened up and with that loosening introduced a little bit of play.

I think you can also get bushing kits which eliminate the play in the lever.

What do people recommend and which is the right bushings kit?

Thanks in advance!

Bump...anyone? Plenty must have had this sort of mod done. Realised the R32 reference of mine is probably wrong (I think that is for the 8L)

I see a mixed bag of reviews on older threads some saying forge can be notchy others singing praise. Appreciate any thoughts on best one to go for or if there are better newer alternatives out there.

Thanks

What car? Engine etc?
For some it works for some it doesn't. I had forge short shifter and took it off recently.
Felt good but nothing other than that in my case. Don't know if my issues were from short shifter or worn engine mounts.

Had a forge on for 1 drive and took it off. ****** terrible, felt notchy and spoilt the drive in my opinion.
Not tried the OEM SS but won't be wasting anymore money happy with how it is.
