Hi. I am wanting to replace my standard exhaust and was wondering if anyone could suggest some possibilities.

I don't want it really loud and raspy, but just a nice deep engine note.
I want to get a MRC custom remap done soon so need to get this done first.

    Cheers

MIJ performance fabricated mine, complete with cats. Quiet on the motorway until you put your foot down.

Where are you based? Someone local may be prepared to show you their exhaust.

your options are Milltek, Supersprint or MIJ performance custom!

dont go for anything else, especially powerflow!

try find someone local to you and check theres out to see what you think.

Heard good things about MIJ, got quoted around £525 if I remember correctly for cat-back dual system, basically the same as the milltek, a fair bit cheaper, and at least you know it'll fit properly as its built on your car, plus you get whatever sound you want as they'll tune it to whatever you want from silent to race spec, so no hit or miss buying an off te shelf item and then not liking the sound you end up with.

That it pretty much how is was with me.

The one thing i would say is this: the 100 cell cats are round, not flat like the OEM ones. This means that the car can scrape on high speed bumps as the cats are a little lower.

dont know if the miltek suffer the sam problem.

Its a fair journey for me from Epsom, but they do also give you up to £25 towards your petrol accoding to their site, so that may sweeten the deal for me.

Getting a Milltek fitted to my 2.8Q on Wednesday - catback £550 including fitting. I think that's the most I've ever spent on the old girl in one hit!
The rest of the car will probably fall apart now!

The thing i like about them after seeing ther pictures is that the tailpipe is a little larger than the milltek from looking which i like. This may not be the case but i think they look a little bigger.
