Can anyone please help.

I am looking for an A4 2001 (1.8 Turbo Petrol) man engine. Eng code AVJ. Recon or second hand.

I have looked for several months without sucess.

Any help or advice greatfully recieved.

why that particular engine?
if you are just after an engine then you are making it difficult on yourself.
you could find a replacement engine 1.8t no problem without hunting for the exact same code.

Old engine is completely goosed. Oil starvation, rods bent etc.

Garage who I use has told me to look for the exact same engine code.

if old engine reconditionable with new pitons/valves bore etc then speak to the engine shop near dartford, they do a rebuild for £1295 inc vat i think (www.theengineshop.info)

i have one of their powerplus modified engines and was very impressed with cost/service/quality.
