Currently looking at upgrading my standard CD player (single DIN) in my 8L A3, and this one's taken my fancy from reading a few things on here and just wondering if anyone has this Head Unit in their 8L A3 and what do they think of it? - few questions also:

    # does it fit in perfectly? (i.e. no need for spacers/new fascias)
    # will changing the head unit be sufficient enough for better sound, or will i need new speakers aswell

    cheers for any replies :)

It'll give you a slight improvement from the front speakers, but you may find the rears are quieter (as they run off a seperate amp, which is only 2 x 20w) this will also effect the sub (as it runs off the rear pre-outs).
Any upgrade really needs new front comps and a sub (especially the sub).

claudefrog off the site has the grand prix in his 8L s3

i will be putting one into my 8P along with upgraded speakers and sub

its a cracking head unit with the built in bluetooth for the phone and it provides great SQ for the speakers and most importantly, it looks OEM!
