Okay chaps...

Try settin' the worlds to right on this one.... just read that Audi have to run The R8's in the Le Mans race with a 50kg weight penalty...thus bringing the car into line with the others... Chevrolet claim that The Audi has an unfair advantage ....(Like using an old design vehicle of the late 90's and still beating the competition!!) and Errrr wait for it .....The Quattro drive train!! reminiscent of the A4 Quattros during the BTTCC when they were winning everything in sight! And according to the Le Mans Governing body this will be the last year that Audi will be allowed to use the R8 in competition... It's no wonder Audi don't participate in Motorsport if all the Governing bodies are going to continually inflict penalties on a Motoring Organisation that delivers the goods during competition... How many times must this happen?? You don't see Ferrari being given weight penalties because they're to good now do you?? Instead they get whopping somes of dosh to stay in F1, courtesy of Mr Ecclescake! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/soap.gif

What's your opinions.....

The old 100GT's used to run around the race tracks here with 100kg penalties and still cleaned up!!

If I remember correctly they also ended up being banned because the other manufacturers couldn't compete.

IMO, if a competitor can find a way to beat the competition via a better system, then leave them alone, it's not as though they cheated.
