Battery Light on Permanently

This leads me too think the alternator has had it, also when running its only pushing 12volts not 14 like it used too. any ideas?

Yeah mate if you drop anymore volts get the alternator looked at ...sounds like anyway.

Must be the alternator, if it was the battery then you'd still get 14v with the engine running

gonna try sort something today, unfortunately i might have too pay someone too do it as im at work all day and i gotta go to chester friday night argh

Right, got in the car to go too work this morning and all is well. Im confuzzled!!!!

I have seen this problem on several cars, the problem was down to corrosion on the earthing lead from the alternator.
Something to be aware of.

cheers for that, im going too have a proper look, funnily enough it hasnt happened since then.
