Battery for Fold out key model???

Hi all,

I need to find out the model of the battery that is used in the key. tried searching but had no luck???

Alright mucker it is a CR1620 button battery and you need two for each remote.

I am thinking its the CR1620... I tried a CR2032 yesterday, it was too big. :-/

Solved: CR1620 for key with small double battery. Thanks guys. Now I have the problem of reprogramming my key, I only have one key so that means I need vag.com. lol

I'm sure mine only had ONE CR2025.....could this be the cause of the keyfob not working anymore?!?

Nah, the key had no battery in it. I know that when you leave the key with no battery for a certain amount of time you will need to re-pair it with the car for buttons to work. The key still starts the car. It's the buttons that don't work.

EDIT: I won't have my vag.com cable til after pay day and then I also have to wait a couple of days til it gets delivered.

Anyone got VAG.com in the Kent area willing to re-program my buttons for a crate of beer or something (we can come to an arrangement) around Thursday the 28th January???
