Hi, we have one s3 8l with ecs stage 5 bbk, I think its 18z calipers. We have bleed, and bleed the brakes, but can not make it be ok. The pedal travel is way to long, and not safe.

I know many means buy other calipers.

But N8 wrote in another thread that mc from Transporter fits. Anybody knows more about it? Wich year/engine should we look at?

What are the stock mc size, and what are the Transporter?

Eventually, and bolt on caliper, that fits bolt on this kit, that will be better?

Please help!

A transporter of a similar year

The notes suggest (depending on interpretation) that the S3 is 23.81mm and the Transporter is 25.4mm... I can only assume thats relative to its bore size

No idea if they will physically fit but knowing VAG there is a good chance it will...

Only issue I foresee is the S3 typically requires an ESP compatible MC... the part listed for the transporter above (7D0611019B) suggests it is but listed for LHD..

Maybe the later models had a RHD version or (as is normal for VAG) the RHD version is the same but a different suffix just to keep it interesting

@Goubo1 uses the18z calipers he might be able help

I have the 18z calipers and from memory as not driven the car in a long time yes the pedal is longer than stock and just a bit longer than my 996 previous on mine it's fine for the road but for track I'd imagine a set up with less travel on the pedal would be better

I bleed mine with the eezibleed

Have read i yes.
Tried this, it does not fit.

Another option is to switch the calipers with some other ones that fit over the ecs discs, anyone that is bolt on?
