B5 Bose amp swap for later model??

This may have come up before but didn't see it, sorry if it has!

I've got intermittent fuzziness in my driver's door speaker and I think its a dry solder joint in my bose amp. I'm not much of an electrician so was wondering if I would have any problems swapping it out with a bose amp from a later model? I've seen lots of later versions on ebay so they seem to be easier to get hold of.

The connector is different on the later Bose amp it's not plug & play, you would have to do some rewiring.

Thats a shame....looks like I'll have to sit tight for the right model on ebay.
