Avant sport rear bumper query

Hi all. Just wondering on the b6 sport avant rear bumper can the lower middle section be removed from the bumper? I want to paint it gloss black to break it up abit.

The bumper is in 2 pieces, the upper bumper part and the lower valance so you can separate the two, but not specifically the middle lower piece.
