Hi there. I am VERY CLOSE to purchasing my A3 2.0TDI Sport from a dealers. It is absolutely lush and very well looked after.

Now the dealer gives me 3months warranty after I purchased the car from them but he also said I can get extended warranty from "Auto Protect" (http://www.autoprotect.net/).
Now they only do the "Premier Plus Parts" and it seems very very good but wanted to know if anybody has had any first hand experience with these guys.

Are these kind of warranty companies good? Can they be trusted? Has anyone used Auto Protect or heard of them before?

    Many thanks in advance.

Never heard of auto protect, but there was a discussion about warranty direct a few weeks back so you may want to do a search on that.

Warranty direct are definitely the best I know. Search on this forum for a recent thread about them, they have had some good feedback.

Ahh yes. Do you think I can link Warranty Direct with my dealer just to make things easier? They got a VAG Specialist garage, which is pretty good. Thats the main reason why I want to do AutoProtect through them.

All the dealer speil aside, he knows what he's talking about so we'll see.

Thanks for the headsup tho smee.

Umm, is it an "Approved Used" car from an Audi dealership? I thought ALL "Approved Used" cars from Audi dealers came with a 12 month warranty even if there was little or no manufacturers warranty left?

    http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/used_cars/used_car_programme.html

It says you get 12 months, and roadside assistance is included.

It's from an independant dealer, not from Audi,
