Auto boot opening

Yeah me to! would have to be careful where you used it mind, wouldnt want it to open and hit something!

This was covered about 2 years ago. Great idea but the extra pressure of having the beefed up struts causes the lock mechanism to either fail or crack iirc.

so it does on a3. but it doesn't lift up. those parts from fabia and rocco don't fit a3. the only way to do it is with the compression springs.
 
Struct hinge areas tears and breaks off with the added pressure.
I programmed a young chaps MK5 golf using VCDS. He was chuffed.
