    H all,

Just been offered a forge tip for a silly good price but I think it may be off an AGU.

Would an AGU tip fit an AUM? I know they are OK turbo end but I'm unsure what thy are like around the dv and the other pipes.

    Cheers

Agu is k03, AUM is k03s inlet is different size but there may be enough stretch in it to fit .

You have the k03s turbo then and the tip would have come off a ko3 which I think does not make a difference on them for fitment.

Thanks for the replies. There is only about 2mm difference from the turbo end so I'm pretty confident it would go over.

What I'm unsure about at the off takes for the N75, vac hockey puck, n75 and others that I am unsure of lol.

    Help lol

Prawn will say no, jardo will say yes! I say some lubricant and it should fit, just the pipes are I little different so make sure you have some spare rubber hoses lying around.

Which ones are different mate? I've had a quick look an I think the DV and hockey puck will have to be swapped round, by the n75 and the one opposite it, and the small pipe down nearest the turbo all look the same.

    Cheers

The n75 will be sweet, the dv should be fine its just the puc sits a little lower so there to the Y bend for the breather might need to be a little longer?

    Cool sounds ok.

Something I have just noticed when looking at pictures of TIPs online is that the AUM TIP has another small outlet opposite the N75 for a pipe that looks as though it comes from a pipe on the bottom of the inlet manifold. But the AGU doesnt.

Any ideas on what I can do with the pipe?

Here is a picture I have found online showing a pipe coming up from where the FPR is located, and goes into the bottom part of the TIP closest to the MAF:

    See what I mean?

I dont think that the AGU TIP has this pipe so the TIP doesnt have an off take for it.

Just wondering if there is anything I can do with this pipe, or if it cane be left disconnected?

    Confused.com lol

I might sound like an idiot if I say this but does that pipe no go to the n249 valve? If it does and you have done the delete it should not affect anything

You have blocked the pipe off? Have you done the N249 delete too?

Lol my brain is in holiday mode at the moment, went to my car quick but it was dark and I'm not at home so don't have the facilities to take off the engine covers!

As what I could its going to the intake? So if it is blocked I don't think it will be a issue. Quick way to test, pull it off the std tip and put your finger on it, blocking it. If the idle changes then you will need it lol

I'm sorry I can't help that much dude. Will try see if I can't google it quick

As to what I can see its just another vaccume line so I would assume it can be blocked off without an issue!

Cool, I will disconnect it and see what its like on idle. Like you say if it runs differently when blocked I will have to either keep it blocked or keep it connected somehow with the new TIP

Yeah mate that's the only way, but I don't see how it will affect the idle now that I think about it if its blocked cos I'm sure it goes to the intake manifold? Anyway dude try and let me know

Just reading a thread on deleting the N249 and have come across this pic. It shows the pipe I am having a problem with behind the FPR still going to the TIP even though the delete is being done:

ust disconnected it and went for a drive and it was ok, no engine lights and the engine was just as smooth. I disconnected it just above the FPR where the rubber hose goes over the hard pipe. The hard pipe is obviously sucking when the engine is on but there is no difference when you cover it over. Worst case scenario is that I T it into another vac hose like from the top of the DV I suppose.

    Wat do you think?

I think it just goes into the intake so I would say block it then, can't leave it open as you will get a vaccume leak, and if you t into another line it will be pointless as all its doing is going in circles? Best way to go about it is look to see where it ends, if it goes to the intake then block it

Sorry to revive an old thread but i think i must have looked at every TIP related thread for AUM on here and still unsure. I have EXACTLY the same situation as you mike - i have an AGU forge TIP for my AUM engine. Just wondering how you got along with it? My bright idea was to just redirect this 'spare' connection down to the small intake down ear the turbo end, with the ally coupler? would that be a good or bad idea?
Basically just wondering if you ever did get around to fitting it all good and the solution to your issues? I'd rather not start deletes and such but if i have to... just desperate to get my TIP on!!
    THanks in advance!
