Naa,stuck it on stock map with the sps tool so it runs smooth,plus side its good on fuel lol,not to fussed as I've got my bike back on the road so I get my speed fix from that lol
Well i decided the old girl needed a tidy up,so its in the body shop to get sprayed up and to sort out the usual rust issues S3 tend to have and make sure the NEVER come back lol
Well its all painted,spent the past two days cleaning it after the bodyshop....looks lush...roll on summer!

Well update time, sorted the running issue... Old fuel pump, no its so much better to drive with the revo switched on
Also been on a spending spree...
Relentless v3 manifold
Relentless v3 downpipe
Relentless v3 200 cell cat
LCR Brembos brake set up.
Badger 5 v2 tip and Jr filter
AH fabs v2 intercooler
Milltek cat back system
Various hoses etc.
All in order to fit hybrid turbo that will go with engine mods...
Well i fitted the downpipe, awkward to do but done it in a few hours,makes a good difference even with the stock system.
needs a few tweaks....

Got my calipers today,stripped them down and sanded all the old paint ready for fresh black paint,new dust deals ordered...
and all prepared..
AH fabs intercooler arrived from Alex,top work from them,cant wait to fit it!
Also fitted my new Milltek with Jet tail pipes, lovely bit of kit so well made!!

Where you ordered the dust seals from? Also have you ordered new piston seals?
Cheers Bud,i didnt need piston seal,only the outer were corroded and split.
Got a outer seal set from here Ford Focus RS MK1 Dust Shield Set for the Brembo Caliper - PartBox Performance and Tuning Parts its genuine brembo seals 44 and 46mm
So one pack will do both calipers or is that £30 a caliper?
Also you can buy a kit off wbay like i have to replace the balance pipes, bleed nipples and caliper stretch bolts.
Yea its 8 seals and I've seen the eBay ones, they use stainless bolts that's not advised to use, also I've made up my own new pipes and bought stainless bleed nipples...
as for replacing the bolts,ive used the old bolts,cant see them being a problem reused,they all measured the same length
Argh cool, ill get some ordered. Whats this about stainless bolts? Whats wrong with them mate? Im going to run them once ive painted my calipers and not heard of any bad reports.
Stainless have a low tensile due to low carbon,you dont want them on callipers mate !
Well i decided to brave the cold and fit the AH Fabrications V2 intercooler,3 hours later and all done!
Well pleased with the results ,pulls well when pushed hard and inlet manifold is cold to touch after a hard thrashing...bring on summer !!
Also finished off the callipers ,three coats of etch primer,three coats of satin black,three coats of clear coat over the new brembo stickers,new stainless bleed nipples and new stainless brake pad shims.
So best to use my old bolts then?
cars coming on well mate, you going to run a 2piece disc setup up front? Also whos doing he mapping for you?
Yea old bolts will be fine mate,discs are single 323mm discs and probably r-tech or badger but thats a while away yet.
Well i addressed my non vocal alarm siren,took it out cut it open and its ****ed...boo,new one bought, modified from the original ****,once fitted i was disappointed to how...um,quiet it was lol,oh well better than nothing!
Well its such a lovely day i decided to detail the car and get rid of tar scratches and usual **** from winter roads.....quite a few hours later and all done,looks ace,loving a clean silver S3
Also fitted earlier in the week an Andy Mac sub and amp combo to go with my alpine head unit,quality bit of kit and the Sound WOW!!
Also...been busy lol... Badger V5.2 tip,the alloy adapter was no easy fit,it needed to be dremeld out but got there in the end,fitted with Jettex filter hidden in air box,works very well,feels so much better to drive!
Well after fitting the Andymac sub and amp combo,i realised the standard speakers are ****!! so after a speaker recommendation from Andy along with his adapter i set away fitting the set and waht a difference !!! Wow i love it!!

well today i decided to fit the front brembos and they do look and work just as well well happy !

Mate, that is one smart looking S3. Love it, it's so clean. The brakes look awesome too.
3 hours to fit the FMIC? I've given up the idea of fitting one as I heard it's a pain in the arse and would take me 3 weeks not 3 hours!

Can i ask how you removed the pistons and dust seals from the brembos? Also what make are the speakers?

Cheers Bud,i used a air line in the calipers to push pistons out,beware,keep your fingers well away from pistons lol,dust seal just pop out with small screwdriver

Yea seen the old VRt up for sale,looks ok,not as fresh when i had it,still goes well tho....!
Well i always wanted a auto dim mirror all on fleabay are cream and overpriced,so i got hold of this from a bora,took all i wanted including mirror,fixings,loom,relays ect,comes with auto wiper rain sensor that i will wire in but not fit as of yet,so ive done a mini retro fitting guide.
First is the button on the screen that attaches the original mirror,its a different fitting and i know if i try to remove it it will crack the glass,other option is to buy a new later screen...but not yet

The Auto dim mirror has a 20mm hole in the center for the auto wiper option,for now im wiring it in but not fitting it unless i change screens,so it will be in the glove box if need be,the auto dim button fits nicely over the original button,so i bonded it on.

Next was the wiring,i took no shots sorry,but it soldered the blue/black wire into fuse 5 and gave it and earth,the reveres option i left off,the wiper wiring i wired into the back of the wiper relay and all done.
The original mirror sits higher than auto dim mirror,so the tube that runs the wires through needs to be trimmed down.
Then just slot the mirror in place,connect the plug,fit covers and your all done.
still need to order the lower trims so please ignore..
So if i ever change the screen for an later auto dim mirror type all i have to do is pop the rain sensor in place,plug the wiring in and done....probably never happen lol
Well update time,bought some original Ronal wheels,had them powder coated anthracite and wrapped in new Toyo TR1-R rubber....so so much better to drive with now,still need to sort centre caps out.
also had the strut brace done same colour...

Very nice colour choice mate, suit the car, very similar colour to mine. Can i ask what front and rear speakers you used?

Hi Mike,yea the yellow one is still kicking about,replaced a coil pack on it the other day lol
I managed to get some used and very tired looking original facelift S3 lights.... they do need some work lol but they were dirt cheap!
After stripping them down i polished the lenses up,800,1200 then 2000 grit,G3 and they came up well!
Next was to replace the broken lower level adjusters with some alloy ones.
I also wanted rid of the chrome,got a colour match to the plastics door blades,cleaned off the chrome and painted..
Back together without lenses on...
After the cutting of the wing and some plastic trimming i used acid etch primer and wax oil to make sure water does not get into the wings!
After ....much better !!
