audi tt roadster softtop leaks

hi every one can you help me im looking for a audi tt roadster 225 and have been told that they can have problems with the softtop leakin has any one experianced problems with theres im lookin for an 51 or 02 reg or is there any other problems i should be aware of or is the hard top a better option to go for thanks for your help davie

My TT roadster is a 2001 and I do not have any problem with my top, but it will all depend on how the top was maintained
