Hi guys.
This is the first time I've posted on the forum so hopefully, someone may be able to help me.
I've had my TT for a few years now and I love the car. It's done nearly 70k and is an early 2008 model - 2.0lts tfsi, but still seems to be running well.
Recently I've been having a few niggly issues with it.
The first being a high pitch 'cricket' type of noise when the engine revs from around 3000 - 4000. It's hard to tell where it's coming from, but it sounds like front drivers side. Could it be a turbo issue?
The other issue is a very loud creaking noise. It's quite intermittent but very noticeable with the windows down. At first, I thought it might be the suspension, but it doesn't happen going over bumps. It happens when I pull off in a low gear and sounds like a sharp creak.
Thanks for your time, and any help or suggestions would be great.
Cheers.
Tom.
- the image shows my car after it was detailed and ceramic coated at attention2detail in Swadlincote. I can highly recommend them.
