Audi TT Mk2 2.0 tfsi

Hi,

I recently purchased a 2008 2.0 TFSi TT and noticed its running a little rich, ie strong fuel smell form exhaust and low mpg. After a little searching I found a few people complaining of this issue along with the engine not getting to temperature. One thing I have noticed now with mine its never got to 90 on the temp gauge.

Would this indicate a fault with the thermostat?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Any ideas if it's easy to change? After 40 mins of driving my temp showed just over 70 then went down to 70. Oil was at 73 according to the dash.

Not sure, it's an annoying job on the MK1 but it's not too difficult..

Have a look at the ttforum, it's much busier than this one and I'm sure there will be some how-to guides
