A CD changer port on the rear of the symphony II. Your best option is the Dension gateway 100 CAN unit. Depending on your car age and type as you have supplied no information at all it will display track names in the drivers information system if you car has one and is CAN based.

No it is a symphony II in the A3 from 2002 onwards. A 55 plate would certainly have a symphony II as it 6 CD in dash, the symphony 1 was only a single CD and tape deck.

So I would opt for the Dension gateway 100 CAN ISO version.

It will be plug and play, support the latest Ipods/Iphones with charging and also allow browsing of your Ipod with track information through the DIS.

    ok now im confused....
It says on the head unit symphony and the II is nowehere to be seen - even on the manual. It is a 6 cd dash changer with tape deck.

No it doesn't say it anywhere, but the main difference between the 1 and 2 is the 6 CD in the 2.

ISO is the 20 pin, QUADlock is the 12 and I mentioned earlier that you need the ISO.

Make sure you are getting the CAN version as plenty of people are still selling the non CAN versions

i had the denison but got bored as it utilises the OEM HU controls...just doesnt give any info, so your ipod needs to be on show ideally...otherwise it gets very frustrating

I recently sold the DEnison and bought a parrot MKI9200 which doubles as a bluetooth and ipod player....and allows me to select my playlists via the nice tft screen whilst my ipod resides in the glovebox....total cost is approx the same and saved me having a seperate bluetooth system in the car..... you will need the mki9200 and also a connect4 aux adaptor box to make it work through the stereo (using just the parrot will make it play ONLY via the front speakers using the crappy parrot built in amp)..... so the connect4 unit is a must (£28 delivered)

Actually the new Dension units do show track info in the DIS so you can browse your Ipod/Iphone from the MFSW or the radio.

The dension has to be the CAN version.
