Audi Stereo removal ...

Ayup guys, any tips on getting the standard tape/cassette head unit out of the dashboard? I can't shift mine - even with the proper tools!

Is there a way in by getting the heater control panel off at all? Help! I need to get this stereo out and junked!

Remove the glovebox and push the unit from behind. If you've been pulling on the actual removal keys then chances are you've fcuked up the spring clips, so it'll be jammed in there. Did you insert the keys the right way round? The angled sides need to point towards each other. The you push them feeling some resistance then they should lock in place, but they can be a ****** to locate porperly.
If it is jammed in there then all you can do is lever off the front of the HU, which will give you access to the ******** spring clips.
