Audi S4 Cab - engine noise

I have just bought an 04 plate S4 Cab, and I must say I love it! It was a choice between an M3 and S4, I am so happy I went for the S4.

Among a few teething problems I have a real grating noise coming from the engine for about 5 seconds from start up. It sounds like a bearing of some sort....

Dont suppose anyone has heard of this before or knows any possibilities?

The only thing I've read that sounds similar to that is the cam chain tensioner on the 3.0 tdi's. Does yours have a chain or a belt?
