A few question for you guys.

What is the ruff MPG on these cars 2.7 V6 bi turbos?
    What modifications to see 500bhp?
Reliability of engine/transmission with power upgrades?
    What power upgrade is recommended?

    Thanks in advance

I get around 22.4 MPG which is a mix of motorway and "spirited" driving.

Engine and transmission are bullet proof

There are some vids of 500 BHP cars doing circe 200 MPH

I posted this the other day when asking about 500hp:

    AudiSRS.com :: 500hp...

The tranny/engines seem to take the power easily, however the 01E box does seem a bit fragile and i've heard of a lot of people breaking synchros etc.

Not sure what you mean by the last question. Surely it depends what you want from the car?

Maybe 400bhp. Road and maybe some track days. What parts would I need to see 400 and 500bhp?

My S4 is running over 400bhp. I get 230 miles out of a tank in urban traffic and have seen just over 300 miles on Motorway journeys. Think that works out at roughly 19-25mpg.

400 is fairly easily achievable with K04 turbos + pipework, uprated intercoolers, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, removing pre-cats from downpipes and a decent remap. Stock brakes and suspension aren't up to the task though, so you are looking at more dough there too. And most brake upgrades require 18" wheels, so more expense...

Makes me sick when I think how much i've spent on mine.

The standard head basket ok for 400ish?
As for intercoolers rs4 ok or front mount a better solution?
What k04 turbos are required? Brake probably put Porsche brembo 6 pots on.
What size injectors? Guessing there are only a few companies that do the remap.
Wonder what's involved there. Rolling road time is free as my mate has access to dastek rolling road.

Stock motor is more or less happy at 500hp tbh, you just need to keep the midrange in check to protect the rods.

When S4 folks say "K04" they usually mean the ones fitted to the RS4. The RS6 turbos are also K04's but are usually simply referred to as "RS6 turbos"

Either RS4's or FMIC will do the job for 400hp tbh, just depends how you want to spend your money.

Porsche Cayenne "18ZL" calipers (also fitted to VW touaregs and Audi Q7's) are almost a direct bolt on, using some disks from a Merc ML500 iirc.

Injector choice will be down to the folk doing the mapping, theres a few common options, such as RS4 ones, or the larger 660cc siemens chaps. I'd recommend you try Viper Tuning for the remap, although most folk on SRS tend to goto MRC.
