Hi, recently took my car for an mot and it failed on the rear brake pipes excessive corrosion. So been phoning around this morning for the parts and having a hard time findin the right ones.

i need the hard pipe with the flexi part on it anyone know where I can get them from? Audi quoted me £38 + vat each!!!!!
I found some on euro car parts but I think they are for the A3, are they the same? They were £15 including vat.

Give TPS a call and see what they can do, as the parts will still be OEM but cheaper than going direct to Audi.

£91.20 for safety and passing an MOT.

If you can't afford that then you shouldn't be driving an S3.

Did you get the part number?

If so then have a google about and see if you can get it cheaper elsewhere for the OEM item.

TPS will usually match or discount there prices down.

Best bet to find out if Euro's is the same part is to call them up and inquire. They can usually see if the part will fit your vehicle by giving them the chassis or reg plate - or if you have the original part number they can see if there part will fit.

Personally I try and stay OEM when replacing pipes/sensors

£91 isn't too bad by itself but when I need tax aswell plus I'm currently building a new house and just had a baby, every penny helps

and as euro car parts have what looks like identical parts but say its for he a3 and they are £15 each. Wondering if they are the same as an s3

Tax is a killer, I hate tax.

Paying all that money for them not to fix potholes, grrrrrr.

If your buying A3 ones, they presumably need to be for a quattro. FWD A3 pipes wont fit.

As much as I agree with you. You know that the tax is for the emissions and not actually for the road surface itself? I think I just paid £280 for 12 months.
