Audi S3 Grill De-chroming, i want a black one!!!

How do i go about this people? Thinkingnit looks a little less 'in your face' and gives it a more aggressive look. Anyone have pics of a black rimmed grill on a red s3!? Any tips, info or guides would be great.

Ditto the above, quite a few threads a few months ago. In the meantime, here is a picture of mine which has been 'all black' since august 2004 and was one of the first.

I paid a fortune for the Sportec grille surround and rings from AmD, but others have achieved the same effect for a tenth of the price with a can of paint from Halfords and some wet and dry!

Previous owner did this to my car but it's peeling now - make sure you do a proper job as it looks gash otherwise.

go to a body shop and get them to spray it, got mine done for free by a mate but doubt it'd cost you much more then £40, even thats expensive for how much work it'd take
