Since my car has been remapped I occasionally get a flat spot about 5000RPM
anyone know what this could be ?

Which remap did you go for in the end? Occasionally mine does it but re-apply the gas and it sorts itself out. I think this is a bit of a common issue.

Consider your MAF, is it just a flat spot at the same revs everytime you go past, or a stutter like power delivery after 5k revs?

    it doesnt happen every time.

It has happened a couple of times at 5k.
For a second or so the power seems to drop off then come back again.

It was a custom code done by JBS.

Its not the TIP collapsing as I've got a Forge TIP and it still happens.

The T.I.P collapsing is usually the older version of the 210bhp engines
It may be worth having a look at the throttle body
Give it a clean and realign
Also check out the turbo hoses too
As with that remap it relys on the turbo so make sure all pipes areb secure
