Audi R8 coolant cap... Help needed?

So I bought a brand new Audi R8 coolant cap for my Audi TT MK2, as you can see it fits with the logo upside down? I know the R8 oil cap needs modifying to sit right but anyone know how to do this on the coolant cap? Thanks in advance.

Could you not prise out the top piece and rotate it?

at a guess, it would be similar to the oil cap
