Audi petrol cap?

    Hey i have an Audi A3 1.6 Sport (1998) and it doesnt have a catch as far as i know to open the petrol flap i would have to use my fingers which i did and it worked but u can just screw the cap off :wtf: which bothers me knowing some idiot could do something stupid so my question to you is can i get a locking petrol cap or is there a catch to open and shut the petrol flap?

    it should lock with the central locking, theres a bar inside which shoots out and locks it iirc.

    If yours doesnt have this then yes you can buy them which come with a key

    Have you tried opening the petrol flap and then locking the car to see if you have the spike?

    im pretty sure it should be a locking one if not may be worth a poke around to fiund if theres a problem with it.

    I havent got any links but halfrauds do them, ive never bought one before but i suspect they are standard fit.

    I've not seen any lockable caps on the A3/S3. As mentioned the flap should lock with the central locking.
    To open you push the front area of the flat to open it like a kind of see-saw.
