Audi OEM BT kit retrofitted into an A8/S8

I've been working on this for a while now and I've finally managed to get the Audi OEM BT kit to work with an RNS-E, make and receive calls etc.

I installed it all on my bench with an A3 RNS-E, A8 cluster and A3 phone module, it all worked, so then I transferred the module and wiring to my A8 and hey presto still works, I have paired 2 phones and made and received calls.

Thats top work there - what appears in the DIS (if anything)?

Well on my cluster, only "TELEPHONE", but I think more will appear on other more modern DIS's

Ah - be nice to have the incoming number displayed at least. Anyone know if that's what you get with a recent DIS? ta...

OK, got incoming number in DIS working on the RS6, the phone units come from the factory uncoded. But so far I've only managed to code them up using an A3 with CAN BUS when my mates are around, so now I've just coded 2 of them up and eabled the DIS function. I coded my DIS to accept telephone and hey presto, incoming number in the DIS.
