    Anyone else have it?
I have paid the extra for it two years running. Mine is in for its MOT this morning and they have found a broken rear coil spring which is a failure.
Good news is, its covered by the MOT Guarantee, so is only going to cost me £10 supplied and fitted

    Wow, that sounds good!!

I didnt even know about that, as I tend to go to independents rather than Main Dealer.

Out of interest, which one do you go to Paul??

I have the AA garage and parts cover, which covers you for upto 5 claims per year to a limit of £500 per claim and you just pay the first £35 excess, it covers quite alot as well and is good due to the age of my car, I have made a few claims and had no probs at all with it.

    I would highly recommend it.

Mine is currently at Lister Audi Watery Lane.
I like them there, they know the car well as its been going there for the last five years. Due to my loyalty they have helped and assisted with a few things over the years.
The last one was the replacement Dual Mass Flywheel done under the extended warranty in December, they did the auto box oil change FOC saving me £190.00.

I have the MOT guarantee as well, but it only cover up to £750 for a one off MOT.

TBH, once the warranty runs out I'm thinking of purchasing extended warranty, so not sure how useful this is for me.

But good to hear you managed to save some ££!

    I've had this before.

Made a couple of claims - the £3-350 one was no problem but as soon as it was the full on £500 I required to get the car back on the road, they were really not up for helping out and tried blaming the issue on wear and tear and pre existing issues.

The first claim was very easy to put through but they were extremely easy to rectify and confirm on the parts that needed replacing.....e.g dead battery and a broken clutch pedal switch.

When my engine went bang they were really unhelpful and were completely contradicting themselves in what they were telling me and why they couldn't pay out. The qualified 'engineer' and the call centre staff were not matching up and in the end we left on bad terms and I will not be taking out their parts warranty cover again with them unless if was free of charge! lol.

First claim had no issues and would have recommended it....but at the time I needed them most they just brushed me aside. This was a couple of years ago so may be they've got their act together now.

I have had the cover for a couple of years and they have been ok with me, my first claim was for a fuel pump, that was a genuine one with labour and that came to just under £500, which was a relief as it cost me £35, they also did my clutch pedal when that snapped and also when my waterpump was leaking they managed to cover that and a cambelt change as well, i had to pay a little more on the last one, but I think it was only about £100 for a cambelt and waterpump change, which wasnt bad, so all in all, they have been good for me. I guess it depends on the garage you use as well though, as apparently the one I use have a good relationship with the AA, so had no issues covering the charges for me.

I've been debating going for the AA cover and/or the Audi one.

Or just put money away each month for the car repairs.

Glad you got a good Audi garage Sidi.
I've been trying to get something looked at one mine and they keep fobbing me off.

It's good to hear it's worked fully for some out there - your claims do sound pretty straight forward Nilz.
Unfortunately mine was a complete pa larva from the start really as no one could 100% diagnose the problem of why my engine went bang.....which they fore meant the AA didn't want to pay up as they said it could have been a pre-existing issue which they don't cover - although they couldn't prove it was pre-existing :-\

This was going back to early 2012 when I had my issues and funnily enough the next year when I got my renewal though they updated their terms and conditions - particularly the section that we were arguing/debating about regarding those 'pre-existing issues'.

I've always had a pretty good relationship with the Breakdown recovery team, but the warranty team could have done being brushed up on their people skills and technical knowledge.

Sidi- does this mean you'll also get a brand new loan car from Audi for that £10 excess? :D

    Its all done.
MOT with new guarantee, fuel treatment and new rear coil spring for £76.00.

Kwistof, they do a collect and return, but they would have dropped a car off for me if I needed one. I work from home and wasn't going anywhere today so didn't need one. In the past I have dropped the car off to them for the MOT and needed a car for the day and ended up with a B8 Avant with 1700 miles on the clock.

Listers Audi Watery Lane get my Sidi Seal of Approval.

I have the bill here now the car has come back, it was actually £74.98.

The cost for the spring is on there and reads £234.38, all it cost me was £10 for the admin.

I always take my car to Audi for an MOT. For £49 and the guarantee it seems good.
