Audi Connect

My car has no slot for the SIM card between the SD card slots but has the MMI Plus package. Does this mean no Audi Connect option for me? Any other ways of confirming the option is available (my HTC smart phone is not compatible unless I root it. The question arises to decide whether I want to set myself the task of doing so!)

If there's no SIM slot then I would have thought there's no Audi connect. It should be on the MMI menu, to the left of "Navigation".

Is the selection there without a data connection active?

It should be. If not, to the left of "Navigation" on the main MMI menu it will have the option "Info", which shows TMC traffic information.

With the pre - facelift C7, MMI navigation plus was available without connect. The facelift models have it all bundled in as the technology package and it is no longer available separately.

In that case I believe it's not included as I have the "Info" option. Being a ME spec it shows the direction to Mecca! Thanks for the info
