    Hi,
I've noticed over the last week or so that the volume on my Audi Concert stereo is gone faulty. Turn it once and the volume goes up to the last. Turn it again and it shuts off completely. I did a search on here and it seems it something to do with a faulty microprocessor (to do with writing to a finite source of memory).

As this seems to be an inherent fault with the concert I is it possible to install a concert II in its place. i.e. would this be a straight swap. Or should I jsu by another concert I and hope the volume issue does not happen again anytime soon.

Has anybody else had the same issue.

    Thanks in advance for replies

Depends on which car the Concert II came out of. There are subtle differences to the fascia on TT/A3 & A4 models, so it may not fit properly.
Technically all the wiring is the same.

could be a silly question , how do you tell if its a concert 2? without removing from car. Its in an 02 A4. I;m trying not to change the vol too much, it would be good to know its not going to be a prob.
i'm assuming B5 and B6 concerts are not interchangeable as i knowth concert od not the original one as the dealer had to recode it when i collected the car.

Concert 2 has a CD player instead of tape player.
The fascia is completely different on the B5 & B6 A4's
