How much for a new unit? Part number A8P0057186CX
The unit itself works out to be £225.99 inc vat
a surcharge is payable of £342.00 inc vat,
but this is refunded once we have received the old unit back and it has been accepted by Audi UK for credit
That's great thanks.
My Concert CD player has a crack on the red LCD screen and the display has leaked. Would the refund still apply if it was sent to Audi UK?
i have checked with Audi Uk, they would not accept the unit back for credit
a new unit would be £637.56 inc vat
the exchane is £567.99 inc vat
Apologies but didn't you say "a surcharge is payable of £342.00 inc vat"?
yes i did, prices work out like this
a new unit would be £637.56 inc vat, not an exchange unit, brand new
Exchange unit £567.99 inc vat, that is £225.99 for the unit + £342.00 surcharge which is not refundable due to the damage
Audi UK will not accept it back
If the unit was acceptable by Audi UK, you would get the £342.00 back, but on this occasion sorry, but no
Hope this makes it a bit clearer
I recently had my Audi serviced at Stoke Audi and on the diagnosis sheet it said the cost for replacement would be £300
I was checking to see if you could offer a replacement cheaper & I could install the head unit myself
just had a phone call from Audi UK
Yes they will accept your unit back for exchange
How come they had a change of heart? Just curious
They looked into it a bit more for me
they wont except the RNSE head units back if they are cracked
but the concert, concert II, chorus, low spec units with the simple red LCD display is ok
So just to clarify...I would pay the unit price of £225.99 + the surcharge of £342 and I would get a refund once my old unit had been handed in?
basically yes, the exchange items are sent back to Audi on mon/tues so as soon as they have ticked they have got it and accepted it you get your credit
can get you a new unit £354.00 inc vat
no surcharge, no old unit to return
