Audi Clutches

Are all Audi clutches like an on/off switch?

My old ladies A2 is just the same so I'm not concerned

Is there anyway to make it more progressive?

the old clutch in ours was like a switch and was right at the top of the pedal, the new one i've just fitted works properly.

I think its just what happens when they get old and tired.

Acording to the service record the clutch has been replaced so it should be ok, also my old ladys A2 has been like it since she purchased it with 20k on the clock.
Guess its something I need to get used to
