Audi - Cheating Emissions too

Just saw this and it looks like Audi have also admitted to cheating about their emissions too.....

Who else is going be coming out and admitting too!!

Another thread already running regarding the full VAG group issues. Pop over there and look. All the A4,5,6,7 Q3 and Q5 owners that have been laughing at the A3 owners may not be laughing as much now!!

Now Skodas too.The problem may be beyond VAG means to fix if they also lose a lot of sales and the income to pay for it.Wonder what their workers are thinking about the bosses who allowed it to happen,Some deserve jail .

This is going to turn out to be a world wide virus with every manufacturer getting embroiled in it.
Skoda were dragged in just after Audi, (as they would be), and it won't be long before other big names admit their part in the sorry saga.

The EA189 engine that is affected, will that engine code be anywhere on your log book if your car is fitted with that engine? Looking on mine but can't see anything.

Volkswagen has announced that nearly 1.2 million of its vehicles sold in the UK are fitted with the software behind the emissions scandal.

It includes diesel-powered cars with the VW brand, Audi, Seat and Skoda as well as VW commercial vehicles.

In the next few days the company will give the vehicle identification numbers to retailers as well as coming up with a process for owners to check if their vehicles are affected.

VW will then start contacting owners.

The company stressed that all the vehicles are still safe and roadworthy.

VW plans to present its plans for resolving the problems with the affected vehicles to regulators next month.

The specific number of vehicles affected under each brand are:

• Volkswagen cars 508,276
• Audi 393,450
• Seat 76,773
• Skoda 131,569
• VW commercial vehicles 79,838
• Total 1,189,906
