Guys, been searching online for 2 weeks now, even bought a repair manual to find out where the air suspension relay is on my audi a7.
Someone was telling me is one of the 3 in the boot but not sure which. I have replaced 2 ( 645 ones ) but suspension keeps dropping overnight.

On vcds shows :

If anyone can tell me where this damn relay is I would be very thankful.

Do you want to replace a relay or the actual control module J197.

I would have thought the problem would be more linked to a leak in the system that is allowing the suspension to go down. Does it go down all over the car or just one corner ?.

It will only go down on the passenger rear side. I would like to replace the relay not the unit . If that does not fix the problem it must be a leak in the system but I would like to try the cheaper version first .

The repair manual that I bought gives me the exact info that you described above which is not really helpful as it only gives info on replacing the unit .

Ive replied to your posting on the A7 section...

If its only one corner, its likely to be the suspension unit itself, and not the relay...

As above if it's just one corner more than likely the suspension unit itself or a leak in the plumbing between the solenoid valve block and the suspension unit itself. Looking at the wiring diagram for the J197 module I can only see 1 relay. And that's the compressor relay. The module operates the compressor and valves in the solenoid block to raise and lower each corner. Also controls the damping on each corner and has a sensor on each corner to measure the level.
