hey guy's

swapped my mk4 golf anniversary for the new audi today, the lad turned up at about 11:30 dint leave till half two lol, both parties happy with the swap,

so got set about giving it a good clean, the outside tbh is very clean, i was going to run the buffer over it but, at the moment and lack of sun it seems fine, i may give it a final going over though, so just paid interest to the interior, wet vac'd the seats and treated the rubbers, wheels tyres and dressed the engine bay

here she is, little rear rake but that will get sorted next week

well,

as with any car i have there are bits i need to do to get it up to scratch
its not been serviced for nearly 20k, now its on long life anyway so will be going back to normal as i do very low milage
bits ordered:
oil and filter, fuel filter, arb bushes for the front, it also has a few engine trims missing too, so replacing them, total comes to £90 ish+vat, so not cheap but will make a whole load of difference, just hop it stops the front knocking

jake

Looks very tidy, it sitting on coilovers?

yeah mate,

just spent the last three hours winding the suspension up, i now have a grazed leg and bilster in my palm from the c spanner, fronts were very easy but by god are the rears a pita!! everything has to be dropped down, then compress the spring to get the adjuster in and out,

overall i have raised the suspension one inch on the adjusters, i have a full tank in the car too, there very deceptive these a4's as the back arch is lower than the front lol, but a tape measure shows 56cm all round, hopefully it will be enough as i aint doing the back again lol

next little project was this:

look at the state of them, cheap carwash acid app

so a quick flat,

then a couple coats of renault grey met trim paint job done

Looks very nice that, shame you raised it :p. Got much planned?

done another little fettle,
passanger headlamp had a scrape to it, quite a bad one actually,
photo4-20.jpg

used 2000 grit to flat the majority out
photo5-16.jpg

then polished it back up with 3m fastcut, theres a slight improvement, most of the graze has gone but the gouge is still there
photo6-10.jpg

and this is the ride height im at at the moment
photo7-4.jpg

its not raised lots, just enough so i can go over a stone without fearing for the sump lol

decided to machine the full car, i wasnt going to but it was full of water spots and you could feel contamination on the surface, there were a few heavy scratches in the clear so i decided to hit the paint very hard

process was:
9" lambs wool on intermediate pad combined with 3m fastcut plus(greentop)
6" yellow 3m sponge pad with 3m fine polish yellow top
6" yellow 3m sponge pad with 3m finesse final stage polish
then a quick wipe down, and a wash to remove all the debris from the lambs wool,
ag hd wax
the car has come out really well, im pretty sure the new sleak surface will give an additional 5mpg too

for those looking to do the same,
the fog lamps do fit, the grille off my car wont as its too small though, how ever everything else went smoothly. i need a number plate carrier also which is a pain, but a ho

sods law that mate haha

im not sure what to do tbh,

i like your plate location tbh but not sure it would suit y colour, there is the jap and us bumper like that for the a4 which means no cutting like you had to do, ummmm do you still have your multi fucntion steering wheel forsale?

rest of the bits came in from tps today,
washer jet covers, fog surrounds and plate holder, fitted them and then decided to clean the egr,
my god, i have never seen so much caked on crud in my like some areas were a good 1/2" thick lol, about half hour later the were gleeming, so did the bits of the manifold i could see on the car and put it back together. then added some forte deisel treatment to the tank for the injectors.
quite a productive dinner

now replaced and the car is back to standard, man is it high lol, may drop some s line springs in eventually as there is litterally a 5" arch gap lol
