Audi a4 lights wont turn off

    I replaced the head light switch with a brand new one and it
    wont turn my headlights off without taking the switch completley out?

    What's the part number of the new one? Identical to the previous one? If not, you have bought a B7 switch and they don't work (despite what some eBay sellers may say). I think it's 8E0941531 with no letter after it, or with A after it that works for the B6. (And B if you have auto headlights). The suffix C and onwards is for B7 only.

    Does your old one still work and is it being replaced because it is scratched/peeling?

    If so a lot of people just swap over the face plate and knob onto the original. The ebay items are hit and miss sometimes.

    Yes mate but when i pulled it these 2 white plastic bits with springs flew out and i dont know where they went! So a could just swap them round?
