    Hi,

I am having issues with my boot.

It does not unlock via the fob (Unlock and boot release) and the does not open when you try to open it by hand. The only way I can open the boot is via the key.

I have replaced the solenoid, but there is no activity with the new replacement solenoid.

I think the switch unit is faulty (switch near the number plate).

Does anyone know the part number for this?

Do I need to check anything else?

    Audi A4 Saloon 2003 plate

    Thanks

    Cheers.

I used Vagcats to search for the part number.

ordered 2 switches - Flap switch near the number plate and a smaller microswitch inside the boot (Near the cylinder lock)

Parts should be here on Tuesday. Dealer will refund the unused parts.

    Will keep you posted.

    Hi,

i have tried all the microswitches, lock, boot handle switch (number plate light unit) and solenoid.

Still can't open the boot with the fob or by hand. I can only open it with the key.

    Any ideas???

    Thanks

    nope

Audi had a look - requires a new boot latch - £110 parts and labour.

I think the latch is around £45.
