hello I have read many threads on rear bumpers but need advice on either fitting lower part of bumper with twin outs for the straight exhaust, what would be the best way to do it thanks in advance from Colin proud Audi Avant owner.

Remove the rear bumper as a whole unit swap and replace, i did mine and it took around an hour and a half, i hacksawed the downturned ends off the exhaust and welded on new tips, quite easy all in. Have a search around for how to remove the rear bumper as it involves removing most of the inside of the boot.
thanks for the reply, did you use the 1.8T b6 bumper or one off the 3.0tdi because my local Audi dealer said some bumpers won't fir my b6 avant, I have read a few bits on utube about removing the bumper, good idea to cut the ends of the exciting exhausts and weld a new bit of stainless tube on them should lessen the cost as well. Would be handy to get a bumper in silver and that would save painting but that does not mind anyway, cheers from Colin.
