audi a4 b6 alarm siren

hi

just replaced batteries in my siren just in time they leaked a little bit but no damage to PCB.

all working fine tested the alarm by disconnecting - battery all lights flashing when alarm goes off.

but i have a small problem the alarm goes off during night and at random times i have checked to voltage its showing as 9.07 with 2 3.6volt 280mah batteries.

i have cleared all fault codes still going of at night.







cant see no damage on pcb

Are the connector prongs corroded, look like they've had some acid on them tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if its the pcb as its often the case, I just swap the whole units out when this happens for clients, more hassle sometimes than its worth.

What fault codes you getting up could be the motion sensor

Ouch, I didn't even know the alarm has its own battery. Guess I'd better replace mine before they leak, unless it's too late (I've just bought the car).
I don't remember reading anything about it in the manual, and can't Google it, either. Where is the unit that contains a battery installed? Is it difficult to replace the battery? Could you give me the name / type of the battery so that I can buy one beforehand?

The battery isn't easily replaceable most people just replace the whole unit.

How much does it cost?
On a second thought, even if the battery is soldered in, I don't see how it could be so hard to replace as to warrant replacing the whole unit.
