Audi A3 rear Wheel bearing replacement Hard job ?

    I had to replace the whole hub on mine due to the abs ring perishing. Only problem i ran into was the spline socket needed for the hub nut...just brought the VAG Laser set.

    Mine is a 53 plate and id pulled off with ease, took me about an hour tops and I am no mechanic :)

    That ebay one looks different to the one i had to get..maybe they changed em in 2005?

    Got mine from GSF cant recall the price but a lot cheaper than audi. Also did you use the 25% off code for ecp?

    You might need the XZN or "triple square" bit. Google "XZN".

    Note this is not the same as multispline ;)

    Laser Tools | 4939 | Spline Bit Set - 1/2"D 6pc

    This is the set i got, only £20 from a local tool store. I think its the M16/M18 you need. I didnt want to risk it slipping and chewing the spline...what a nightmare that would be haha
