Also I saw the KAM-ICE sticker does that mean your local? (east london)
Yes mate, That was a Kam ice sticker and yes East london/essex.
Where you based?
Boys I think I might be leaving the side repeaters but i would still like to do it
I'll see what happens next time Im at the bodyshop.
how much is the full respray costing? would ove to get mine resprayed but people were i live want more than the cars worth.
ive had the roof completely repainted by audi under warranty but would like the rest of the car done now.
lol, probably now - sold it for 5.3k end of last year before the market took an even steeper decline
progress looks good tho
Its costing **** loads!!!!! but I no the guy that owns the bodyshop and he hasnt Hit me with the figures yet...... But a few of the lads from My area have had full respays not colour changes between 2k-3k, I think that is the going rate. if they gave u a respray under warranty and there is a colour difference they should blend it. I have a mate that had 1 side done by BMW under warranty and kept taking it back as there was a slight difference and endded up witha full respray for free try and see good luck
Lol So what you driving Now?
and cheers mate
Im from north London but basically live in east where all my family are... And leaving the side repeaters may not be too bad as at the end of the day they arn't pre-facelift items like mine that look like they came off a 1980's transit van....
Lol, c'mon they aint that bad I had pre-facelift too.
How do you know bout kam ice?? Kam sponsered my car through rockford fostgate and has done all my ice, alarm and tracker and is a real good friend too. I'm really shocked that you picked up on his sticker. I'm normally at his shop if i'm not work Lol.
My cousins live off green lane ig1/2/3 sides...So im always going past or near it...Whos carrying the body work on the A3?

Not really I know Jags but I know Jags like everyone else in Ilford knows him...
So which one do u know forest coach works or jags bodyshop

Just a little update, The car was meant to be out ages ago, but the guy that way doing the work has been off sick for the last few weeks.
I was at the bodyshop this morning managed to get a few pics just before it went into paint. It was painted this afternoon so it should be out very soon.
All comments welcomed
i recently have fallen in love with th-lines i want some but there over 2k, your cars looking good though be very nice once completed

I need to get some proper tyres on them as they have budgets on at the moment
Easy Ams, hows it goin bro? Its Abdul who used to own the A3 for like a month and now owns a corrado btw lol. Look foward to seeing this come out man, looking good so far. Randeep told me you were taking his 10's, its goin to look mad!!
Hey the car was painted yesterday and finished today all the bumpers and skirts will be painted tomorrow and be going on soon...............
What you think of the colours.
All Comments Welcomed
I dont get it is the car 3 colours? Red roof, Black and purple sides or is it the way the light is hitting the car?
It looks like a much darker shade of merlin purple
The roof is a cranberry colour and the car is black with a purple flick,
What do you think????????
A different 2 tone combination there.
While nice, i just don't think that the red fits. If it were me i'd have had the roof done in flat (non) metallic black. That would have broken up the purple a bit if that is what you were trying to acheive.
I could be totally wrong here though, get the car done and post some pics up of it again, it might look different once it's put back together.
In the pictures it looks like you've had the car painted black, then the rear quaters fade into purple. Black/Purple are an awesome combination and i love the FORD paint - Dark Aubergine. Stunning. Is the whole car black/purple or as i said the rear quaters?
Hopefully it'll look stunning. Cant wait to see it fully done.
Im liking that nice to see some-one do something different!
I reckon its hard to tell with pics though you need to see that in the flesh really to make a decent comparrison.
Are you going to make it up to GTI spring fest? Would love to see that in the flesh!
Looking good Ams! Hoping to see this around town!
Its is differrent! Thats what I'm going out of the norm!
Cheers Mr G, it is what i was going for. I was abit shocked to see it aswell but it looks different in the flesh and because its different you have to look at it twice, like when the mercedes cls first came out!!!!!! But I'm waiting for it to be finished too.
Cheers Jason, I want to come down to Santa pod but the thing is I dont have an exhaust system made or sourced yet, The rear bumper has exhaust cut out soo it would look and silly......
Cheers mate I'm looking to be driving it around when it makes it out.
Wow...that really looked good. Really nice color...Like the discrete metallic flake when it's clouded but when the sun hits it...PURPLE...Lovely!!! Dunno bout the roof...think it could work with color codedw wheels...Thumbs up!
You have a different colour combination on there...Think I need to see some more pics, but im liking th colour difference with the shade/sunlight on it.
hows it geting on now then???
Boys the car is out the body shop.
Here are some pics still need to be cleaned and a few bit require to be done let me know what you think.
Its taken Hell of a long time. But i love it......
Here are the bumpers.
and the S3 spoiler
All my bits ready to go back into the car.
What do you think?????????
The car is not totally finished I still require an exhaust system which Im going to measured on friday.
All comments welcomed
Really love the color scheme!!! And the wheels...man they are nice!! Goes really well with the dark paint. The stance is perfect too...
But the SFG and all the plastix aren't my cup of tee...But it's your car mate ;-)
Also would like to mention that a smoothed out rear bumper could make it work better at the rear..
All in all...Thumbs up!!
wow that looks really cool really like the schmidts to ive been thinking about them for ages and they really suit the s3/a3 body just not sure about them on a yellow car ummmm love it though mate top job
Stunning mate, nice to see something diffrent
Looks much better now its back together... when you mentioned the front bumper you were going for I was sceptical... there is a thread here with a yellow car with a similar front end but I must say it doesn't look that bad... I think the paint choice has made it blend in real nice.
absolutley awesome m8!!
loving the look....
Think this is the first SFG conversion that works.
Respect for trying it and job well done in my opinion!
oh and the wheels...........
