Audi A3 Average mpg display error

Hi,

Recently bought an Audi A3 2.0 tdi Sport on a 55 plate,

I seem to have a problem with the mpg display on the dash, it jumps around all over the place, from 20mpg to 200mpg

does anyone know if it can be reset or how to fix it

That's the current MPG. You need to scroll through to get the Average MPG for the journey if that's what you mean?

ah ok sorry it is the current mpg that is jumping around all over the place then.

as the pic shows it says 200mpg which is impossable (i wish it was possable lol)

Yeah that current MPG thing is useless, I'm not sure why they bother putting that on there. Average MPG for the journey is much more accurate.

flick it onto setting 2 m8

Yeah, ease off the accelerator and it jumps up to 200 mpg, go down a hill and it goes into the 80's - I too find it quite irritating so I don't tend to have it on that setting.

very true, its useless - I'd prefer my oil temp displayed!
