    Hi Everyone

Am in process of upgrading the A3 with Xenon Headlight

The Car is a 2010 Facelift A3 2.0 TDI Right hand drive which currently has halogen lights

The Bi Xenon headlights I have acquired are the following:

    Nearside Headlight 8P0 941 003 1ZS 009 648-17
    Driver side Headlight 8P0 941 004 1EL 009 648-10

The Current headlights fitted to the car are the following part numbers:

    Nearside Headlight 8P0 941 003 1LJ 009 648-03
    Driver side Headlight 8P0 941 004 1LJ 009 648-04

The car currently has the following CECM (Central Electronics Board) in place 8P0 907 279N

In my understanding this CECM will support the headlight Upgrade

The instrument cluster installed in the car is the following part number: 8P0 920 982 C

I do not wish to install the headlight levelling or washers as yet. For now i just want to get the headlights to work without any errors displayed on the dash

Can some one please point me to the a link or a supplier who can send me the correct adapters for the upgrade

And also advise me on the best way of getting these 2 wires threw the bulk head that go to the CECM and where in the board these 2 wires go.

According to my research this is all i need to do to get them working correctly without any errors,

    Have i missed anything?

    Many Thanks

    Hi Mate,

the adapters you need are these ones: KUFATEC GmbH & Co. KG - Xenon/HID Headlights - Adapter- Audi A3 8P & 8PA Facelift

select the 2009 ones since you have the N rev CE module.

the wires go through under the drivers side scuttle panel and under a panel there into the drivers footwell.
Once installed you will need to code the CE module for it to work properly without errors.

Where abouts are you? I can do this install for you if you need?

Ok your biggest problem "which someone should of advised 1st" is, both headlights are left hand drive so useless on UK roads for mot's, it will fail on the beam alone, also 1 headlight is normal bixenon & other is adaptive, so if you ever come to do the levelling system, you're basically goosed as it wont work.

If you want to sort out the proper headlights for UK roads then give me a shout as I can get brand new for you delivered.

003 changes to 029 & 004 changes to 030, but the important part are the letters on end, AR is adaptive & these denote to us sided versions aswell.

    PM me for prices.

Hi, im looking at old posts and I am battling to understand the the headlamp labelling. How do you know by looking at the label if its LHD OR RHD and Xenon or Bi-xenon and if its adaptive or not?

    Could you explain?

Part numbers & the actual parts catalogue differentiates them with these numbers.

I was confused recently too mate. Correct me if im wrong but i think all facelift headlights are either halogen or bi-xenon. I dont think you can get normal xenons?
