hi guys sorry if this has been covered not been on in a while but just woundering whats the best mod for the 2.0t audi i bought one last night and been searching online

whats would be the first best mod to do ??? remap

Hey there, the quick and relatively straight forwards mods initially would be:

1. Cold Air Intake (Revo or similar)
2. DV Valve - either current revision or GFB DV+
3. Remap - plenty of plug & play units including Revo, APR, Bluefin, Shark or a custom map where the map is tailored to the car...

sumelh_888 thanks for the quick info bud
could u tell me what gfb dv+ is bud and what it does thanks

Hi, GFB is the brand of diverter valve, the valve that releases boost pressure back into the system between gear changes etc. Depending on the factory valve you have, some are prone to splitting. Upgrading to the DV+ (it fits on to the front of your existing valve) allows the boost to be held better and no leaks (drop in boost pressure).

The DV+ is about £98 or the standard, current revision factory DV is about £45.

I'm not sure which 2.0 you have but your DV is either at the front of the car (see pic) or up behind the engine which is a pain to get to.

Without a doubt its a stage1 remap to start, transforms the car instantly, and a GFB DV+ to maintain all the extra boost.
That was my starting point, I've now done the suspension, just got my hands on a BCS powervalve exhaust 2nd hand, and have done lots of other little things along the way.
Have fun fella.

aww nice one bud looking forward to it also to install gfb dv+ which brand av seen a couple

and is it easy to install on this engine type

Its a bit difficult as you have to tackle it from under the car, there is a video on youtube showing how to do it, three bolts from memory could be 4, but one of them is a real sod to get to, it doable though.
Another good mod is the dogbone lower bush by powerflex, stiffens the saggy feel from the engine to the gearbox, its easy and only £20/25 quid.

aww thanks bud al go see if a can find it do u have a link to the dogbone lower bush al have a look just dont want to buy wrong parts its a pain

also bud av been thinking about a dump valve but will be on the very end of the list as a dont no if a do or dont
but if a do where could i get one that makes this sound its an escort cosworth love the sound of it

Al get one of them tomorrow bud are they easy to install

Aww nice one bud al get that ordered and done soon thanks for the tips bud

Dump valves don't really work on the Audi - It calculates how much air is in the system so if you dump it the readings are all wrong - plenty on here about it. The DV valve is the same thing but it diverts the air back into the system. You'll get a similar sound with cold air intake but not like the old school days.

I think Forge do an atmospheric dump valve however...

What's 504 bud
PFF85 504 is the one you want not the PFF85 505
And dont bother with an atmospheric blow off valve, our cars run best with is going back through the exhaust, stick with the GFB DV+ as it keeps the turbo boost spooling longer between gear changes, win win.
And just fitted my dog bone bush and WOW, I have a DSG gearbox which used to clunk in between gear selection from 1st to R, not anymore, and the gear changing up and down is now silky smooth, also the dsg farts are much more apparent in lower rev gear changes.

Hi guys av when I plug my mag sensor in to air box it's like it about to stall with rev bouncing but when disconnected seem to be fine al need new maf but will having it disconnected do any harm and will it make it slower

Sounds like you need a new PCV valve matey. unpluging your maf, might causes other codes to come up.
You need to get checked for error codes to fine out what really is the main problem, might even be a faulty maf and sensor.

Thanks bud found the problem when I took the innercooler pipes off when putting them bk on had clips wrong so blow off lol are they any other recommendation for the Audi not to dear but worth the money

What's that do bud
Balance shaft fails really commonly on the Audi A4, leading to complete and utter engine failure due to no oil circulation (no oil pressure)

Just have a quick look on google/eBay/ASN you'll see many Audi A4 balance shaft related things

Installed the GFB dv + feels more responsive and feels like theres a bit more power to give thur the gears thanks guys for the recommendationc great
