These look brilliant, but do you guys produce anything that overcomes the poor design of the original boost pipe seals?

Just ordered a set to try on my PD140 as we will have it up on a ramp soon to give the Turbo a clean as I'm getting over boost faults. Have a complete set of new seals to use with them too.

They have arrived as promised - great service thanks. Look fantastic in the flesh.

I'll have to dig out the receipt for the seals which is at home and post tomorrow.

They look very good in the flesh - I still haven't managed to post the seal prices, I'll see if I remember over the weekend.

Going on the car next Tuesday when we try the Innotec on my Turbo and have some ramp time.

Dug out the paperwork and the replacement gaskets came to £22.78 plus the VAT. If you get them fro your local TPS counter you will probably get some discount on that price some on mine have 10% discount and some 8%.

I ordered some other stuff that I required so can't post just the total on the bill. I also bought some of the replacement clips and they come in at about £1.05 ea plus VAT less any discount applied.

    Hope that helps.

OK we have fitted my set, my thoughts :-

The alloy connectors are miles better than the stock oem hoses, they really need a positive push and then engage tightly into the connection.

Ideally you need the car up on a lift to replace them, at a push you could do it on a set of ramps or axle stands, but it would be a lot easier up in the air above you. The one that connects to the EGR / IMF is a pig to do due to the hoses round it, there is limited access (small hands may help)

Also to clarify (as I did see it in the description, but I may have missed it) it is a set of three that replace the flexible hose at each end of the Inter-cooler, and the one at the front behind the fans that connects the pipe to the EGR/IMF.

    Paul.

Yeah I also would like to know if its euphoria or real difference, as I have stock pipes oin hybrid with 230 atm & I have no issues.

I appreciate forge kit is good & my dealings on my S3 were very good in the past & helpful, but has to make a difference to be worth purchasing.

Can't report back yet as the OEM connector at the Turbo has popped off, didn't notice it until I could hear air escaping on the way home. We also just cleaned the Turbo and we had noticed before a sound of boost leaks, I guess sorting the VVT on the Turbo resulted in a slug of boost when I backed it over the two post lift and moved the pipe even more.

I can just get a finger to it but not clip it up again from above, so will need to get under the car at the weekend to fix it. Driving gently at the moment with a lot of air hiss.

Love to get my hands on who ever design these locations so that you can only get to them from below. Also what is wrong with good old fashion hose clamps for these unions, in place of these stupid ears and clips.

I would say that the forge ones are very unlikely to pop out as the billet ends are of a much more robust design.

Wish they did one to replace the short right angle hose at the turbo outlet.

So the Forge ones only replace the ones at the bottom where the intercooler is?

Do you think because the forge ones hold good preaure put a weakness/more presure on the OEM ones to the turbo?

They are the hoses each side of the inter-cooler and the one from the solid pipe behind the fans to the EGR / IMF.

No I had a boost leak anyway we could hear it as well as sticky vanes on the turbo, as we were having it up on a ramp to do the turbo I decided to purchase the forge ones to replace the stock ones as you can see where they have been leaking at the inter-cooler.

I don't think the forge ones caused the stock turbo one to pop off - I think it was already slightly out, but sorting the turbo has popped it more.

we will be doing the turbo hose soon , but this will only come in the nomex (ocre colour) as it will need to take high temperatures.

That isn't really likely to cause an issue as you can only see that one from below on a ramp with the undertray off.

Can't wait for news on this one Kris.

Have you worked out the probably cost of it yet ?

    Paul.

    Hi

I am unsure whether these will fit as we have not ever fitted a S3 intercooler to a TDI
