Audi A1 folding mirrors

Hi,

I, well the extremely talented Paul from this forum, are having a few issues with coding the door mirrors to fold on locking and unfold on engine start up. The first set of instructions - see below - activated the folding mirrors, but the window switches on the drivers door went haywire. The drivers side window switch operated the passenger window and the switch for the passenger window on the drivers side did nothing. I couldn't open the drivers window with either switch. Also the door mirror adjustment was the same, so when the drivers side mirror switch was set to adjust the drivers mirror, the passenger mirror moved, yet moving it to the passenger side, nothing happened.

Go to control unit "42-Door Elect, Driver">> Coding - 07 >> Byte 4

Change the original coding 00010000 to 01010000


With the coding put back to the original setting we then tried anothe set of codes below, but this did nothing.

Only going by my own car S3 8P version, when i did mine using switch in drivers door, i only had to code and added up all the numbers which were relavant to what i had in car IE puddle lights , door hazard lights etc and used all those numbers as my code .
When i got them to fold on key fob and unfold in iginition i had to get my drivers door module flashed using Vcp but as ur car is probably newer that mine i suspect u wouldn't need ti do that to ur module .
I am finding it hard to understand why ur door switches would be playing up if all you did was code for auto folding mirrors ( especially if ur car can have it activated ) you would only have had to add the number for auto folding ti the number that was already in ur drivers doir module .
