I have gone from being a pre facelift K03s worshiping arse bandit to being a facelift owning K04 wanting bummer.

That said, I think we can all agree that I was the fastest A3 ever to grace ADI.

I did have backwards facing Pirelli P Zero Corsa's on, and my missus was rapid when she was driving
My car was quicker than his, much more power. He was lucky if he had 190bhp.
All I can say Jardo is, your cars handling was pants, I was all over your ass in 2011 spec, and this year, I'll be even quicker on the twisty
Actually took my car to work today, so I could take a scenic route home just now, when the roads are empty! Finally, I have an S3 that corners nearly as good as my Mk2 16V running Koni top adjustables. The mk2 still edges it being lighter, but the S3 will mince it between corners.
Sounds like it will be good jojo. Will you be removing anything like the rear seats for next Saturday?
Removing seats?! I'm not that hardcore, will be driving round in full phat spec! It's not really a track car is it? I will mostly be trying to enjoy myself, and be happy my car comes off the track is good order.
Yeah, because it had cold slicks with no tread on them and were on backwards because it was the only way we could get any grip at all. I only fitted them because I was too skint to take tread off my road tires and because they were free.
Once the tires had warmed up and I had got the hang of it you were nowhere to be seen, last couple of laps I left you for dead.
Admittedly you were quicker through the corners for the first 4/5 laps though.
I'd have been quicker if I left my standard tires on I think, the P Zero Corsa's I did ADI on had done literally THOUSANDS of miles; over 4 trips to the ring, 5 track days and that was just when Prawn owned them and they were second hand then.
The tires looked like this before I put them on -
My car had front and rear Eibach ARB's, LCR hubs and Weitec GT coilovers. My setup chassis wise was identical to Prawns car on the day, and he lapped you with less than 200bhp.
The handling of my car was not **** due to anything other than **** tires and my ability.
And my discs looked like this BEFORE the track day -
I really miss it I wish people would stop going on about it, it makes me really sad that it's not around to defend it's honor.

I lapped a couple of people, an 8P A3, an S4 and another S3 that I THINK was Karl's. You must have lapped people?
My ever lasting memory of ADI was the look on the guy in the silver Skoda's face. He came out of quarry quite a lot quicker than us an pulled along side to over take, then my missus put her foot down and smoked him.
His expression as he gawped across at some fat bird in a motorcross helmet driving a chav'd up A3 was priceless.
Then 10 seconds later his engine blew up in spectacular fashion.
Are we really going to have this little handbag fight every time ADI gets mentioned? It's a fun track day, nothing competitive so less powered cars will go past more powerful ones.

I think so, Jo's obviously a bit bitter about me being right so he's had to make a few improvements to try and make sure it doesn't happen again. He mentioned it after all.
I was quicker than Jo and he's spent all year making his car faster, Jo is in fact consequentialism personified.
I don't quite get this, how can Nick lap me and not lap you? I don't remember him being a sandwich filling between us? Surely we was on the same lap, or if Nick had lapped me, he would have lapped you too?! Unless you are saying you lapped me too, which in all probability, highly unlikely! lol
If Nick really did lap me by the way, I blame you for holding me up!
Actually, improving my car is a slow process due to time contraints, motivation and priority. I have spent very little time on my S3, hence the lack of use and low mileage. Quicker than moi you say? In a straight line maybe, but my lardy ass S3 was quicker than your A3 through the bendy bits, I have nothing to be ashamed of....
I was pretty sure Bob lapped everybody other than myself and that horrific red golf. Maybe you did manage to fend him off.
Pfft, holing you up! We'll see who's car's quickest at the next B5 RR day, nothing but facts and figures. If my power to weight ratio is higher than yours then we'll know who's the real winner.
You better get on the phone to Niki first thing tomorrow morning, actually if you want I'll send you his mobile number. He's got quite a long waiting list and without his magic mapping you'll never catch me even in my new facelift wagon!

I had the legs on the Red Golf along the straight, but in the corners and out of them, he had the torque to pull away, so I let him past and got on with it..... unlike someone else who was holding people up all day long.
I never said you have a slower car. What I did say though is, you're a shyte driver!
I have no interest in upping more power on my S3 in the way of a remap, I will try and make a few more improvements on the handling front, which is pretty good now after some work I carried out myself over the summer. Maybe fit my FMIC if I'm bored, and one of the phonothingamajig gaskets and I'm pretty much done on the engine front. Then I will replace her once I'm bored again.
Have either of you got any video evidence to back up either claim?

i guessed this already by the amount of wires and tubes i have to try and hide. im sure it will be fun and take my whole day up.
just got to wait for my meth man to come back from Poland so i can start running it.
I found that the most time was taken up mounting the pump and tank. I wasn't happy with mine first time round so had to move it. I also needed some extra wire from maplin as there wasn't enought to run the pump from the boot. I also got a load of connectors so I can unplug the pump completely if needed.
Haha yes I have! Youtube ADI 2012 and a guy filmed the cars passing every lap.

bosh! got the extra wire covered, now just got to get solder crazy the shrink wrap and tape the joins. i think ill put money on it that im going to get it done and it wont work lol

My memory of ADI, is that Jardo and Jojo stayed pretty close, and Jojo couldn't get past because it looked too dangerous to get closer!
12 car session, I started from the back, passed everyone in the first lap, and went on to lap the majority. When the flag went at the end of that session, I was a few cars behind jojo, a few hundred yards of track space between us after 7 laps as we came up avon rise.
First session was pretty much the same as the second, although I didn't pass Welly until the second lap, because he had 370bhp compared to my 200!
Before you start making any claims J-rod, lets think about this, if I wasn't that far behind you at the end of 7 laps, lets be generous and say 30s behind, and passed you on lap 1 at Bobbies (got it all on video) that's 6 laps to make up a lap on you, assuming a 1:30 average lap time (for you, not me) that's roughly gaining on you at a rate of 10 seconds per lap.
Now, when you consider you had MUCH more power (your words - not mine), and claim to have the same chassis as me, and running MY tyres (which I've used on several trackdays since and found them to be fantastic still), being 10 seconds a lap slower than me hardly paints you as the Stig now, does it?
If we assume you were only 10 seconds a lap slower than me, that would put you in at an average lap time of 1:30-1:32.

You have much to learn son.
Oh, and those pirellis, are EPIC tyres. They're warm after 1 lap, and they're still going strong now.
So gutted I won't be at ADI again this year to show the world that FWD is best
