Well, I'm back. So is the missus carrying about a litre of silicone onboard.... lol
Nice one dude.
All go well and a good trip?
CR Ko3s hybrid, 80mm MAF, new manifold because mine is cracked, 330 S3 injectors.
Talk me through some costs and mapping please!
Just sent off the loan application.
Hope all is well welly.
At least it did and didn't go tits up out there mate.
pics or it didnt happen!
I was going to, but 4motions are almost as rare as rocking horse shyte, so looking for a A4 Avant TDI Quattro Sport instead, but these are hard to find in good nick also....
Pics to come all in good time people
She's still very sore at the moment, mostly muscle pain, but it seems to be settling down a bit now.
Wow, fixed my car.
Excuse the fact this video is me addressing Prawn, it's a whatsapp video meant for him. It does display that my car is awesome though.
Done some data logs, which show the MAF maxed out by 4K and maintaining over 188gps (it can't physically read any higher) until 6700rpm. It's making 26PSI and holding it from 3 through to 5500RPM and holding 22+psi until red line/7200RPM.
All these figures people will be saying are not physically possible for a KO3s, so **** knows how it is doing it. But it is!
Oh, and that video was taken a min' ago on a dry(ish) A38.
klappe, don't you have build thread or some post In the A3 section?
Totally forgot about that Scott, lol!
I've decided, I need £2000, 1 month and a workshop and I can complete my car and every thing I need/want to it.
I'm sure you could buy a crash damaged S4 for that sort of money?
possibly but not as much fun.
I enjoy doing it like this to much
£2k inclusive of the RNS HU?
O yeah and some other gadgets.
Most of it will be spent on automatic boot opening and closing though.
Boot opening i cant see being difficult, but the closing element is going to cost a bomb, no?
Its abit and its something I've been thinking about.
Just wish I had some design knowledge, I'd attempt to design it.
I've got it all in my head what I want.
I want to use the same system as BMW. Hydrolic rams but I'm not sure it will work cause of the angle of the struts, so it might work or ripp the boot lid off.

Morning welly. Hope the mrs is feeling less sore today.
She's OK mate, getting there slowly but surely... Definitely on the mend for sure.
I've been in the house since the start of the month mate, moved in on the 2nd
I think so, like I said, getting there slowly....
It takes time but then think of all the fun you can have afterwards.
Get that Baby oil supply ready. lol
Nice one on the house again dude.
Bet its good to get away from the rents.
that looks good! but how are you going to get that working on the Audi?
also did you fix that passat blind into the rear window yet?
Yeah, I can't touch them yet, not allowed for a while yet annoyingly. I can't wait to get the motorboating on.... woooohoooo.
It's good down the yard, boiler is broken currently, however Worcester Bosch will be coming out for the second day on the trot to fix it... hopefully.
The blind is in and working. just need to wire it up.
Give me 10mins, I'm updating my build thread now.
That boot idea/project is a long way off and possible never happen.
I need custom hydrolic boot rams and poppers to push the boot lid up enough for the rams to take over the lifting but with not to much force cause it needs to beable to catch the latch.
The only thing I need from the BMW kit is the electrics and the pump.
The kit is about £350, so it wont really happen. lol
just saw the vid on your blog, looks good there, but those bars that are sitting diagonally, are they meant to go right out to the sides or are they meant to sit there in view?
They are meant to go right to the sides and point up.
Theses don't cause my window is about 6 inches shorter than the ones fitted to the 607s.
I need to pull them off and shrink them to the correct size.
Can't work out the best way to take the bars off and cut them down. They are stuck on really tight and I don't want to mangle them up trying to pull them off.
I'll take another look at them later.
ahh right, i thought i saw them go off to the sides.
are the bars attached by anything that requires it have to stay that specific size or can they actually be cut down?
have patience with the bars when removing it...
The bars just push the blind up and hold it there.
No reason not to cut them down.
i was just wondering if they were attached to anything specific inside the rails that make the blind lift up, and if you shorten it would it still be able to push up the blind?
The blind it self is on a spring loaded roller, Like load covers.
All the bars and motor do is push the blind up and keep it there.
Yeah, if i just cut them off it will sit in the correct postion. I might take a look later
Any thing interesting happening in the world of internet land people?
Its all a bit quiet at the moment here.
Just raining alot and hard.
Couple of floods on the way in and may be some more on the way home.
An inspiring read -
what the **** is that? lol
That made my laugh.
Scott, quick question for you.
I have a PROPER sub and amp, can I simply unplug my standard Audi sub in the boot. Cut the wires and plug it into my sub/amp?
In short yes.
But you I would not trust the thickness of the old amp cable and make sure you wire up the rear speakers as well.
Its not a simple as plugging it in though.
If your new amp RCA only?
It be better to do it with correct cables adn RCA leads.
is that a bose sub/amp or standard?
you would want to run new RCA from headunit to amp and run it that way. loads of info on this in the ICE section of the forum
oh the joys of bumping along jardo!
i once had a 15in bass tube, 800watt amp and 2 sets of alpine 6x9 speakers in my XR2 back in the day!my headlamps used to dip with every bass movement! oh the fun! lol!
you could hear me coming from half a mile awy! lol!
until some light fingered dirty little jealous in bred filth sucking mofo decided he wanted it, and removed it all one night!
and then my days of ICE were over!
be careful jardo, there is always some bell end out there who wants your stuff!
and to answer your question dude, not really mate, to do it properly you need as scott suggests proper dedicated RCA leads and thick power leads not high level inputs like a standard audi amp has!
That makes me sick. If anybody stole anything of mine I would destroy their life
Not to worry, TBH I think I'll strip it all out and save some weight anyway!
