Turn the key 2 clicks then press the start button. Why not turn it all the way to start the engine without f*cking around with noncey buttons????

Looking at their feedback it'll probably make it go ka ka boom. :sob:

They would laugh me orf the TT forum if my first mod was a great big red bit of plastic with starter written on it and a old hi fidelty record player silver nob with variable volume adjust.

How big is that button it looks like you start it by using your head :banghead:

The sort of people who would actually buy one of these things proberably would push the button with there head. Just before the extra 45bhp kicks in .......

my worry would be the supplied scotch locks and the terminal block to use.!!!

I like the way the "increased performance" comes from increased fuelling and advanced ignition....
I studied for 3 years at college to gain my city and guilds in motor mechanics, and if you run rich and advanced, you'll coke up the engine and run hot, eventually the engine will suffer from pre-detonation or "pinking" this is where the combustion chamber is coked up with deposits of carbon which glow red hot, these deposits ignite the fuel before the sparkplug has a chance to fire and mostly before the intake valve is closed, this causes the valve to slam closed, sometimes bending it or snapping the poppet right off of the stem....

Indeed an inexpensive way to destroy your engine.

Although i doubt a button with some wire and cable ties is going to do sod all, bit like the Halfords NISMO stickers you see on Fiesta's...

A4 quattro i have a 3 year old motor with about 16k on the clock, is it worth putting any of the cleaning products for injector etc in it or is it worth waiting for a few more miles or are those products a complete waste of money.

The sort of injector cleaner you will add to the fuel tank will do little more than relieve your wallet of some cash.

There are two ways to clean the injectors on a petrol car, one is to disconnect the fuel pump by removing the fuse and then disconnect the fuel supply and return lines from the fuel rail. An injector cleaning unit is then fitted in place of the car's fuel tank and this has a built in high pressure pump and reservoir.
The reservoir is filled with a cleaning solvent and the pump turned on, then you start the car and let it run at a fast idle until all the fluid is gone. This will clean the injectors the best way short of removing them from the car and having them ultrasonically cleaned, which is the best way of doing it.

As for Diesel cars, the injectors would have to be removed and then taken to a specialist who would also clean them through ultrasonics, they are a lot more delicate at the business end than a petrol injector.

As you didn't mention what fuel your car runs on, i thought i'd describe both....

hope this was useful!

A4Quattro cheers for that, so basically a waste of money, regarding fuel have always used super unleaded and since that dissapeared BP is it ultra ?

Actually....Thinking about it...I might just add two of these to my Christmas present list ...Rev/Mick you now know what I'm getting you ....:icon_thumright: :moa:
